IPHAS looking for Website Editor

The national residents’ association IPHAS (Independent Park Home Advisory Service) is currently seeking to recruit someone to look after its website. For anyone who is not familiar with this organisation, IPHAS was established more than 25 years ago and, over the intervening years, has offered advice to thousands of people who either live in park homes or are contemplating moving to one. During that time, it has also wielded considerable influence with Governments of different political persuasions about improvements to the law surrounding this unique housing choice.

As the organisation has grown (its membership now stands in the many thousands), so has its reliance on information technology. All of IPHAS’s team of advisors and administrators are volunteers who give their time to help others free of charge. Sadly, due to illness, the organisation’s website content manager has reluctantly handed in his resignation. So, if you come from an IT or media background and/or understand Facebook and website content management, the team would love to hear from you. Ideally, you should have a good technical understanding of uploading files and navigating website menu systems.

As the post is voluntary, you can devote as much or as little time to the role as is convenient to you. If you think that you would like to put your talent to work to help fellow residents, why not contact IPHAS’s chairman, Ian Pye – info@iphas.co.uk. He will be able to give you more information; you might also like to look at the IPHAS Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/iphasfb/
